With only 2,5 months to go (international release date is 19th July while here in Germany it is the 26th…) the hype for the final Nolan-Bale-Batman is building up. And we finally get a trailer that not only shows some amazing action but gives us also a little insight into what is happening when they are not fighting.
While I still have to educate myself on Bane (played by Tom Hardy) which apparently is the biggest enemy (in every sense of the word) I am still a little bit hesitant about Catwoman (Anne Hathaway). While I was never a big fan of her the trailer indicates that she has more to do than just look pretty in a catsuit. As I said before, Marvel set the standard of comic book movies pretty high recently and while we shouldn’t fear as long as Nolan is writing/directing it still has to be seen if it is as good as the latest Marvel effort (The Avengers).
“The Dark Knight Rises” will be the final movie with both writer / director Christopher Nolan and oscar-winner Christian Bale in the bat-costume. But old favourites will return with Gary Oldman as Jim Gordan, Sir Michael Caine as Alfred and Liam Neeson as Ra’s Al Ghul.
